Ulrich Schnauss
For most of the Icons of Echoes, listeners picked artists who have been around a long time, the mainstays of the Echoes sound. But clocking in at number 19 is a newcomer, at least relative to the 20 years we’ve been producing Echoes. Growing up in Germany to the Berlin school sounds of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Cluster and more, Ulrich Schnauss has brought that space music background into a new generation of music on the ambient, shoegaze and electronica scene.
