A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH BARBARA HIGBIE
Barbara Higbie was the best pianist on Windham Hill who wasn't a solo pianist, until now. Years after recording influential, critically acclaimed albums on Windham Hill Records with Darol Anger and Montreux, as well as her solo singer-songwriter debut, Barbara Higbie has found her inner solo pianist. In 2001 she released her first solo album, VARIATIONS ON A HAPPY ENDING (Slowbaby). In her East Bay home, Higbie plays music from HAPPY ENDING and reworks some earlier tunes for solo piano.
