ECHOES SEPTEMBER CD OF THE MONTH
JEFF JOHNSON & BRIAN DUNNING: THE KATURRAN ODYSSEY
Keyboardist Jeff Johnson and flute player Brian Dunning have been creating a unique brand of Celtic chamber fusion for about a decade. They've recorded on the Windham Hill and Hearts of Space labels and have songs on just about every Windham Hill Celtic, Solstice and Christmas collection. Their new CD, THE KATURRAN ODYSSEY (Hearts of Space) takes on Terryl Whitlach's illustrated book, The Katurran Odyssey. Like most Johnson & Dunning CDs, it's a wonderful mix of gorgeous, Celtic inflected melodies, and moods that range from serene to dark. It's our September CD of the Month on Echoes.
