For the Week of March 13, 2000

                      FEATURES FOR THE WEEK

                    Monday March 13, 2000

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH TRACY SILVERMAN

Tracy Silverman is a journeyman violinist who was a member of the

Turtle Island String Quartet, has recorded with Minimalist

pioneer Terry Riley and performed on several Windham Hill

collections. We capture the violinist in his home where he

gathers a group that includes bassist Michael Manring to play

music from Tracy's debut album, TRIP TO THE SUN (Windham Hill).

                     Tuesday March 14, 2000

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH COYOTE OLDMAN

Coyote Oldman transforms the Echoes Living Room into a Native

pipe organ of canyon dimensions. Michael Graham Allen and Barry

Stramp are Coyote Oldman and they play Native American flutes,

Incan pan-pipes and classical bass flute with melodies that ebb,

flow and morph through each other. Stramp adds electronic

effects, creating shadow echoes and subliminal melodies like a

pipe organ blowing across a virtual canyon. Their latest album

is HOUSE MADE OF DAWN (Hearts of Space).

                    Wednesday March 15, 2000

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH THE ANGELS OF VENICE

You used to have to go to the Venice boardwalk to hear the Angels

of Venice busking, but we'll take you to the home of the head

angel, Carol Tatum, where the Angels of Venice play music from

their self-titled Windham Hill debut. We try to contain melodies

that soar and rhythms that explode in a tiny Los Angeles living

room where the Angels of Venice alight for an Echoes Living Room

Concert.

                    Thursday March 16, 2000

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH GEORGE WINSTON

George Winston took us back to his native Montana on his latest

CD, PLAINS (Windham Hill). In this special reprise performance,

we take you to a easy chair in the Echoes Living Room where

George Winston plays some new songs and old favorites in his

beloved folk piano style. George Winston, live on Echoes.

                     Friday March 17, 2000

and fronted by Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser. They come into
the Echoes Living Room for a special St. Patrick's Day
performance, bringing their lush, instrumental sound to bear on
original compositions form their latest CD, LABYRINTH (Culburnie)
Skyedance reaches lush orchestral heights in sculpting out
melodies born of uilleann pipes, flutes and fiddle.

tour of the Emerald Isle as he plays a concert with selections from his CDs
Eire: Isle of the Saints and Wayfarer. ***************************************************************** ID#00-J07-000051 Monday, March 13, 2000 (Echoes Program 1G) ARTIST SELECTION RECORDING First Half Hour Michael Mandrell Ancient Art of The Great Spiral Dance Soul Travel David Helpling Sticks & Stones Sleeping on the Edge of the World Jan Garbarek & The Agnus Dei Mnemosyne Hilliard Ensemble Djam Karet Dark Cloud, No Rain Suspension & Displacement Second Half Hour Medwyn Goodall Ice Crystals Comet Paul Halley Rejoice Triptych Andrew White Through Cumbrian Guitarra Celtica Hills Happy Rhodes The Chariot Echoes Living Room Concerts Vol. V* Michael Spriggs She Was Only Without Words Third Half Hour Jeff Johnson Nothing Immortal Prayers for St. Brendan Suzanne Teng Topanga Dreams Mystic Journey Jalan Jalan Firefly Sanctuary Bali Russell Mills Rooms of the Il Pearl & Umbra Shimmers Frank Van Bogaert Highlands, High Geographic Hopes Fourth Half Hour A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH TRACY SILVERMAN Tracy Silverman Largo Trip to the Sun Tracy Silverman 1983 Trip to the Sun Tracy Silverman Improvisation with Trip to the Sun Overdubs Tracy Silverman Red Rain Unreleased ****************************************** ID#00-J07-00052 Tuesday, March 14, 2000 (Echoes Program 11G) ARTIST SELECTION RECORDING First Half Hour Lorenza Ponce Beloved Lorenza Ponce A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH COYOTE OLDMAN Second Half Hour Arvo Part Spiegel im Spiegel Alina Michael Mandrell Ancient Art of Soul The Great Spiral Dance Travel Libera Beata Lux Libera Steve Hug Asian Future Organics Third Half Hour Joe Euro Midnight Watch The High Road Steve Stevens Cinecitta Flamenco A Go Go William Orbit Piece in the Old Pieces in a Modern Style Style Mary Jane Lamond Cattle on the Hill Lan Duil Brian Ales Sadman Club November Richard Bone Cancion del Arco Distillation Fourth Half Hour The Ananda Shankar Tansuree Walking On Experience Wild Colonials I'm Leaving Reel Life Vol. 1 William & Alene Sweetwater Dowry of Guitars Bartz The Talking Future Build Your Own Planet Forest Suzanne Teng China Lily Mystic Journey ****************************************** ID#00-J07-00053 Wednesday, March 15, 2000 (Echoes Program 11H) ARTIST SELECTION RECORDING First Half Hour Preston Reed Overture Metal Annbjorg Lien January Baba Yaga Andrew White Through Cumbrian Guitarra Celtica Hills Shastro The Diamond and the Tantric Heart Lotus Second Half Hour Pyramid Peak Reflections Ocean Drive Steve Stevens Feminova Flamenco A Go Go Mickey Hart Cloud Moss Spirit into Sound R.
