LAURIE ANDERSON: THRU A LENS ASKEW
Laurie Anderson set out to tackle a whale but wound up with a more personal album called LIFE ON A STRING. Originally trying to wrestle her opera, Moby Dick, to CD, Laurie started discovering some smaller songs and ideas she wanted to explore, many of them drawn from life. She also returned to the violin for the first time on album since Big Science. In Laurie Anderson's Manhattan studio, she tells the stories behind the stories of LIFE ON A STRING (Nonesuch).
