Echoes Playlist
A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH THE MUNDI ENSEMBLE
The Mundi Ensemble plays ancient music, but with a post-modern sensibility. Based in Austin, Texas, but headed up by British born guitarist Darrel Mayer, the ensemble plays ancient songs and new compositions with a minimalist sensibility and a hint of Duane Eddy, albeit on classical guitar. Their second album, AS BARLEY FALLS (International Rain) is a whimsical mix of old and new, recorded live in a church. We gathered The Mundi Ensemble in their Austin living room for a riveting live performance of their music.
