A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH PETER KATER

Southern California based pianist and composer Peter Kater comes into the Echoes Living Room to play a set of solo piano live. We know Peter Kater from his many collaborations with Native flute player R. Carlos Nakai, ensemble recordings that range from neo-primitive to neo-chamber, and solo albums that explore his wide-ranging piano skills. Last year's RED MOON was a Grammy nominee and an Echoes CD of the Month. Peter Kater's first recording was a solo piano CD and his latest album picks up the solo thread. It's aptly called PIANO (Point of Light Records) and draws on compositions from across Kater's career. In a living room in Chester County, Pennsylvania, Peter Kater plays some of that music live on Echoes.
