JOHANN SIGURU-WHALE SONGS FROM THE BELLY OF THE BEAST
Whale songs have entranced musicians for years. Pink Floyd emulated them on their epic song, echoes. Paul Winter went out and played his soprano saxophone with whales and recorded using their whale songs as backing. These sounds entranced Icelandic composer Johann Siguru. He's actually been using the natural resonance inside of whales to make his music. We go in search of a sonic Moby Dick.
